WORK/CASE STUDY

LONG LIVE THE LAZY

La-Z-boy Australasia

Well, there’s pre-production and then there’s pre-production. When La-Z-boy Australasia invited for us to pitch for the work, naturally, we said yes.

With creative supplied from the US, a deadline to deliver on time with the international launch of the new campaign and brand direction and NZ and AUS TVC’s and stills for Print, OOH and digital channels, what could possibly go wrong?

Working collaboratively in a true team environment with client Morgan Furniture in Auckland, we worked together to ensure we had all responsibilities clearly identified and allocated and made sure there were multiple eyes on the cracks so that nothing slipped through.

We brought our specialist partners onboard as always to help cast, location scout, audition, source wardrobe, produce and shoot 2 x 30” TVC and 2 x 15” TVC spots for NZ and the same for AUS over a three day shoot in Christchurch.

Running a really tight ship with all the right people in place to make sure we ran to time (or a little ahead) meant the 28 cast (9 from out of town) didn’t have to wait around and we got the best out of them. But don’t take our word for it, it’s all on the screen.

And let’s face itanyone who has worked with us knows we like to bring the vibe, which we were able to in spades on this one.

The end result? Well, let’s just say, that while we’re not surprised, we are really proud of what our little team pulled off for such a big client and most importantly in this case ‘just right’ means our client is really happy too.

To be part of the new look and feel for La-Z-Boy is super exciting and we’re pumped we brought a little bit of the Ruffells spice to make it happen

It’s so exciting to be able to deliver fresh work which we are confident will give a new energy and vibe to the La-Z-Boy brand. Thanks to the Ruffells team for bringing this creative to life.
